Giving to the Corps
Since its founding in 1872, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets has helped to develop thousands of leaders of exemplary character for the commonwealth and the country. With the help of The Campaign for Virginia Tech: Invent the Future, the Corps is prepared to improve our already excellent program that is the foundation of this great institution. Alumni are critical to the continuing growth and improvement of the Corps; however we are also looking for partnerships from others who share the values the Corps represents. We invite you to become our partner to help continue our mission to train leaders and improve the future for all of our communities by supporting the Corps of Cadets in developing leaders for tomorrow.

Gold Cord Committee
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Campaign Steering Committee met for the first time in the spring of 2006. Recognizing the desire for excellence that they all had for the Corps, and noting the Corps use of the Gold Cord as an award for the top company each year, the committee voted to name itself the Gold Cord Committee. The Gold Cord Committee is a group of diverse and flexible alumni volunteers that will oversee the Corps’ campaign through the public phase expected to end in 2010.
